First, let's say what it is. The registry is a kind of database of settings that contains many settings for all applications, it also contains all the settings for your Windows.

How to open Registry Editor in Windows 7? Opening the registry in Windows 7 is not as difficult as it seems. The simplest and fast way for novice users, use the search in the Start menu. Having opened this menu and enter regedit in the search bar, feel free to click on the program that appears. This is the registry editor.

There is a longer way to open it. Go to C:\Windows\ , in this folder open the regedit.exe file.

The fastest way, which works on both systems, is to use hotkeys. But since many users do not use them, I have described more primitive methods for beginners above. But I recommend to everyone the method that I will tell below. By the way, it also works in Windows XP and Windows 7.
